Indigenous Pataxó teenager tortured and 12 detained by police in Bahia

A joint police operation detained twelve Pataxó Indigenous people, including a 14-year-old, at the Barra do Cahy retomada in the Comexatibá Indigenous Land, Prado, Bahia. The teenager reported being tortured by officers who threatened him with firearms and knives to force a confession, and the detainees were held in degrading conditions at a police station.
