White students at San Marcos High posted blackface image mocking Black children
Four white students at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara darkened their skin to imitate Black children in a social media post captioned with an emoji used as a stand-in for a racial slur. The post spread around campus and the district later presented new protocols for responding to racial incidents.
