Businesswoman shot dead at roadside in Rifaina; police register femicide

A 24-year-old businesswoman was shot and killed at the side of the Cândido Portinari highway near a rural property in Rifaina after going there with her brother and a friend to return a pickup truck to a 64-year-old cattle rancher. Police registered the case as a femicide, and the duty officer said the man had threatened her before and killed her out of jealousy and because she was a woman.
