Peru president blames Jews for pushing Germany into war in speech
Peru's president José María Balcázar said during a ceremony at the Lima Chamber of Commerce that Germany was pushed into war partly because of the Jews, claiming Jews controlled German banking and commerce. Israel's and Germany's embassies and the Jewish Association of Peru condemned the remarks as antisemitic.
