Man beat and tried to strangle his mother; shot dead by police in Kyiv

In Kyiv's Solomianskyi district, police responded to a domestic-violence call where a man had beaten and tried to strangle his mother. When he lunged at an officer during the response, police opened fire and the attacker died.
